These super delicious and crispy baked buffalo wings are the perfect way to enjoy your favorite game day treat in a lighter way! No one will believe they were baked.

Ingredients

2 lb chicken wings, frozen
1 tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter (or ghee)
4 tbsp buffalo sauce (Paleo/Whole30 approved buffalo sauce)
1 tsp garlic powder

Method

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees.

Place the wings on to baking sheet and dry really well with a paper towel. Place them in the fridge to air-fry overnight or for a couple of hours. If you don't have time to do this, dry them really, really well with paper towels, removing as much moisture as possible.

Toss the wings with baking powder and salt in a Ziploc bag.

Cover a baking sheet with foil and cooking spray. Place the wings on the sheet in a single layer. It is fine if they are close together but they shouldn't be on top of each other.

Cook on the lower rack for thirty minutes.

After thirty minutes, turn the oven up to 425 degrees and move the baking sheet to a higher oven rack. Cook for 30-40 minutes until the wings are golden brown. There is no need to flip the wings when cooked this way.

Heat the buffalo sauce, butter, and garlic powder in a saucepan until the butter melts and the sauce is warm.

Toss with the wings and serve.
